The vision of the JBCN Youth Summit is to promote awareness about international issues in the impressionable minds of young learners and to groom thoughtful, responsible youth who shall provide creative solutions to the social, political, humanitarian and economic crises across the globe.
Our chosen theme for the JBCN Youth Summit, 2021 is - ‘The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)’, which is built on the principle of ‘leaving no one behind’ and adopting a holistic approach to achieve sustainable development for all.
From E-Sports, to Nuclear Disarmament and the opportunities of Cryptocurrency usage, MUNs expose learners to global issues. This moulds them into competent, motivated and passionate individuals, who are capable of analyzing challenges and resolving them responsibly and diplomatically.
At the JBCN Youth Summit, we have a similar goal. By simulating over twenty-one committees, the conference aims to emulate the multilateral nature of the United Nations and its diplomatic endeavours as well as to introduce these young citizens to the issues of the world. As the former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan said in his speech, “Young people – with their dynamism, their energy and their inherent understanding of our interconnected world – have much to teach us.’
